Mrs H from Llandridod was awarded a Disabled Facilities Grant through Powys County Council to adapt their basement flat into a wheelchair friendly environment. GB Home Adaptations were called in to replace their family bathroom with a complete level access wetroom and to improve access to the property with a wheelchair accessible lift.

Did the service meet your expectations?
Yes it did. The boys were really tidy, nice to be around. They were clean and tidy. The groundworkers who did the outside were exceptional!
How has it impacted your daily life?
It’s for my wife, these adaptations have completely changed her life. We live in a basement flat and for the past 18months to 2years she has been trapped in here. So, it’s made a massive difference. She can now get out of the house and have a shower. I don’t have to listen out to see if she has fallen over or hurt herself.
It’s given her a lot of independence back.
