At GB Group we put health and safety at the heart of everything we do - not just with our own colleagues but those throughout our supply chain sub-contractors and suppliers.

Our lead manager on health and safety, Andy Malcolm, last week delivered a briefing to a selection of key sub-contractors on the importance of employee induction training. This particular session with our contractors is one of the most important modules on our comprehensive supply chain training programme. It is an element that focuses heavily on setting the right health and safety culture from day one and lays down the stringent requirements and processes we expect when working for GB Group and its clients.

This training also incorporates an insight into GB Group's on-line H&S portal which eases the on-boarding process of sub-contractors; where they are required to up-load all their relevant health and safety documentation, accreditations and qualifications which are required before their company is accepted as a sub-contractor and added to our approved contractor framework.

These training sessions take place regularly throughout the year, ensuring health and safety remains a top priority and a responsibility for all.
