Having worked closely with a number of local authorities over the years, we have a long history of projects successfully completed. Many of these projects have involved working within offices, schools and hospitals where the premises remain open and operational while our works are undertaken. Often this involves working outside of normal working hours over weekends or at night in an effort to minimise disruption to the client’s business. We often work with clients who operate in secure and sensitive industries, so understanding what is and is not feasible is a must from the start. In all scenarios, our success has been down to great communication with our clients and customers.
Our biggest current customer, is CarillionAmey, who as a joint venture, hold the £500m+ contract to provide maintenance services to domestic dwellings on behalf of the Ministry of Defence in the UK. Our contract with CarillionAmey sees us providing property maintenance services to 4000+ homes across South Wales, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
As the incumbent contractor in these locations, GB are the sole provider of the following;
Our partnership with CarillionAmey, covers a huge geographical area, meaning that our work takes us into a multitude of communities. We are pleased that, where possible, we are able to help contribute to these communities through a variety of local initiatives for example, apprenticeship programmes through local colleges, sponsorships, charitable donations etc.
We take great pride in the work we provide in support of the MOD, but we take as much satisfaction in completing small building adaptations on behalf of more senior or less physically able clients. The work we undertake for YOU@HOME for example helps their clients feel comfortable and more independent within their home. Typically, these works include grab rails, ramps, handrails, bathroom conversions and ceiling track installations e.g. hoists.
GB has a policy of ensuring all employees undertake the necessary security checks to work with the Ministry of Defence. A detailed and comprehensive background assessment is undertaken before the applicant can start with the company.
