Working on behalf of Herefordshire Council’s You at Home agency which manages the process of providing access to Disabled Facilities Grant funding. This grant funding is for Housing Association residents, private landlord tenants and home owners who require essential disabled adaptions in and around their home.

The majority of the work involves the undertaking of bathroom conversions whether it is to install a low-level access shower or a full wet room conversion, including all necessary tiling and decorations.

Unfortunately, not everyone that applies for grant funding is eligible, so we have undertaken numerous private works on behalf of homeowners that cannot access the service through one of these agencies.

Other works coming through the agency are the fitting of grabrails around the home, handrails, concrete access ramps and paths, garage conversions and building extensions.

Similarly, we have been undertaking these types of works for private homeowners who have engaged us for these specialist works.

Due to demand for this type of work, we have a section of our business that is set up primarily for completing works of this nature. We take particular pride in seeing the difference it can make to the lives of elderly or disabled customers who benefit from these types of adaptions to their home.
