Why did you choose GB Home Adaptations to complete the work?
We initially spoke to Powys Care & Repair to recommend to us what adaptations were needed to make the bathroom a usable space for my husband. Through them we were recommended to your company as you are on their approved contractors list.
Did the service meet your expectations?
When the work was done it was done very, very well. We did have a long wait before the work was initially started due to a change over in staff. However, when the delivery date was confirmed they did stick to it and deliver.
Adam, our main builder, was an extremely nice young man. I felt very comfortable with him and had no qualms leaving him in the house while I visited my husband in restbite care and even left him to lock up the house on his own a few times. There were a few challenges in our bathroom he had to overcome where he carefully thought through the options and offered valuable solutions.
I can’t let Adam take all of the credit as Lloyd, the young man who came and cleared the bathroom did an excellent job too. It was very hard work for him to remove the existing tiles and he surprised everyone by doing it all in half the time expected. Scott, the floor fitter was also very pleasant and did an excellent job.
How has it impacted your daily life?
It has transformed our lives. My husband couldn’t use our original shower as there is a step up into it. The work that has been done allows him to now easily use the bathroom. It’s also made my life so much easier too as I don’t have to struggle when I am assisting him.
If you were to recommend us, what would you say?
It does look very nice and the final result went above my initial expectations. Once the date was agreed it was done to schedule and the work was done very well. If people get Adam they will be very happy and lucky! I am very pleased with the end result. Thank you for keeping your word about having it ready in time. We are both very grateful.
